The band

Graham is a founding member of The Redwood Band. He started his musical career back in the early 1970’s playing folk and blues clubs around London before going off to Germany for a year playing festivals and student bars. Since then he has been in several cover bands playing clubs and functions . His influences are country, rock, and blues.

Andy has been playing drums since he was a child . His dad was a jazz drummer and would take Andy along to his gigs where he would get to sit in on a couole of numbers and get an early introduction to playing live. Andy went on to play in a very successful country band touring the U.K. He also has many years of experience playing clubs and functions and has been a member of The Redwood Band for over 15 years.

Dave has also been playing keyboards for many years. During the 1970’s Dave played in Denmark with a very succesful band and then went on to play in several country bands where he toured the U.K for many years. During the 1990’s Dave joined forces with Graham in a popular covers band known as Phoenix. They worked together for several years on the club and function cicuit before He joined The Soul Detectives . Around 2010 Dave joined The Redwood Band. Dave has brought a wealth of experience and versatility to the band. He also has a nice collection of hats which can make for a very entertaining evening.

Dave began his music career whilst still at primary school when he played the trumpet in the local brass band. Fortunately for us and his neighbours he gave up the trumpet snd took up bass guitar. He then went on to play in several local covers bands playing pubs and functions around the Essex area. For many years he was the bass man for the well known band Spooky until he joined up with The Redwood Band over ten years ago. Dave brings a great wealth of musical knowledge to the band with his main influences being Funk and soul music.
